Refund policy
This return/refund policy applies ONLY to orders placed directly through the JOBY online store. For orders placed from other retailers or online stores, please refer to their individual return and refund policies.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We want you to love your JOBY gear. If you are not satisfied with your purchase from the JOBY online store, you may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date.
2. Return Conditions
To qualify for a full refund of the purchase price, items must meet these requirements:

Condition: Items must be in "like-new" condition. While we understand packaging will be opened, the item itself must show no signs of use.
- Exemption: Items that arrived damaged in shipping are exempt from the "like-new" requirement. Please refer to the Lost or Damaged Shipments section below.
- Packaging: The original packaging must be included and otherwise unaltered (including an intact UPC code).
- Completeness: Must include all warranty cards, manuals, and accessories.
- Bundles & Free Items: If the product was part of a bundle, the entire bundle must be returned. If you keep any part of a bundle or a free gift, the retail value of those items will be deducted from your refund.
Non-Compliance: If all conditions are not met, or if the wrong item is returned to JOBY, JOBY reserves the right to refuse the return (sending the item back at your expense) or to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee.
3. Return Process (How to Initiate a Return)

Submit a Request: Within 30 days of delivery, send us an email and provide the following info:
- Order Number
- Product Name
- Reason for Return
- Photos showing the product and packaging are in like-new condition (as described in the Return Conditions section).
- Get Approval: Returns sent without prior approval may be rejected and returned to you at your expense.
- Shipping Label: Return labels are provided for the contiguous United States (mainland/lower 48 states) and Germany at no additional cost once the return is approved. Customers in other regions are responsible for arranging and paying for their own tracked return shipping (see Section 4: International & Other Regional Returns).
- Shipment Window: Once your return request is approved and a label is provided, you have 15 days to ship the item back to JOBY. If the item is not postmarked within this 15-day window, the return request will expire.
4. International & Other Regional Returns
- Shipping Costs: Return labels are provided only for the contiguous United States (mainland/lower 48 states) and Germany. Customers in all other regions are responsible for all return shipping costs, and JOBY will not provide prepaid return labels for these areas.
- Duties & Taxes: Any customs duties, taxes, or import fees paid at the time of delivery are non-refundable.
- Return Customs Fees: If JOBY does not provide a prepaid return label, the customer is responsible for ensuring the return shipment is sent "Duty Paid." Any customs duties or brokerage fees charged to JOBY upon the return's arrival will be deducted from your final refund amount.
5. Refunds
- What is Refunded: The original purchase price of the item
- What is NOT Refunded: Any additional shipping fees, handling fees, customs duties, or import taxes paid on your initial order are non-refundable.
- Timeline: Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse, your refund will be processed. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3-7 business days after inspection, depending on your bank or credit card issuer.
6. Lost or Damaged Shipments
- Damaged on Arrival: If your package arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery. You must provide photos of the external packaging and the damaged products.
- Lost Packages: If your tracking hasn't moved for 15+ days, or shows "Delivered" but you haven't received it, contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date. Claims made after this 7-day window cannot be accepted.
7. Liability & Personal Items
- Transit Protection: For your peace of mind, JOBY assumes full responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs during transit when you use the prepaid shipping label provided by our team. To ensure a smooth process, we recommend requesting a drop-off receipt from the carrier when you ship your return.
- Personal Items: JOBY is not liable for personal items left in or sent with your return. Any personal items included with your return will not be sent back to you.
- Wrong Item Returned: If the wrong item is returned to JOBY, we reserve the right to refuse the return or charge a restocking fee.
Purchases from Other Retailers
If you purchased your JOBY product from a third-party retailer (e.g., Amazon, Best Buy, local camera stores), you must initiate your return through that specific retailer. JOBY cannot issue refunds for items purchased through other storefronts. However, your product is still covered under our Warranty Policy.
