Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! This Joby Sling is the one best camera accessory I have purchased for my Canon. I love it. I ordered it specifically for our Ham Festival. When you are elbow to elbow with people, you need a way to get to your camera fast, and this works great! I no longer carry my camera in my hand now, because I hated the standard strap. Going to get my daughter one for Christmas as she is a photograper too. Thank You!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the Difference in the World Used my new Ultra Fit Sling Strap for the first time this past weekend on my AT section hike and it was incredible. So nice to be able to bring a "real" camera out on the trail and be comfortable and not feel like you are carrying the extra weight around your neck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Idea A couple of years ago at PhotoPlus Expo in New York, I tried out every sling strap available there and decided that the Joby was the best one. When walking around, keeping the strap shorter keeps the camera from swinging uncomfortably (and, possibly, dangerously). But it extends to shooting length almost instantly so you never miss a shot. My camera bodies have Arca-compatible L-brackets attached and so I've screwed the Joby strap into a lever-activated quick release clamp. When I want to mount the camera to a tripod, the strap comes off quickly and the camera goes right onto the tripod head. And did you ever try to carry two cameras on neck straps? It's almost impossible to keep them from banging into each other. I've also tried hanging one from my neck and one over a shoulder, but the one on the shoulder keeps trying to slip off. But I've carried two cameras on sling straps, one slung to my left side and the other to my right. As far as I'm concerned, that's the only good way to carry two cameras. The safety tether wasn't available when I bought my first Joby strap (it comes included on the Pro model), but it's been a good addition for peace of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for shooting while on the run I'm 6'4" so bought the XXL for my Panasonic GX7 for recent trips to Hawaii and Florida. I love the ease with which I can cinch up the strap against my side so the camera isn't bouncing around while walking from place to place. I did notice that the strap would lose tension over time as I walked so I found myself using the locking mechanism when I wasn't actively shooting. Shooting with the strap was great..just pull up the camera to my eye level and it's ready for action.  The mounting screw never came loose. Even though it remained solidly attached I found myself checking tightness out of paranoia after reading the experience of others that had the fastener loosen. After using the strap now for a couple of months I am certain it will not loosen from my camera. I bought the safety tether unnecessarily and wish I could return it.  I love this strap. My only complaint is the relative bulk of the mounting screw on a small mirrorless camera like the GX7. I got used to it, but wished the strap just clipped to the eyelets. This is my favorite strap and one I plan to continue to use because of comfort and speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VALUE FOR MONEY SPENT I bought the joby ultrafit strap after reading its reviews and it is totally worth the cash. The strap is so comfy and reduces the strain on the shoulder and is so easy to reduce/increase the length of the strap. A must have for all photographers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is perfect for walking about with a camera. I do a lot of street photography and not only does the strap make it easier to carry my camera, but it is less intimidating than reaching into a bag or a neck strap.  Bravo!!

Q & A

Could you carry 2 cameras, with 2 of these slings? If not, is there some other way to carry a second camera off the other shoulder?

Asked by: Drew Tronvig
As a matter of fact I've been trying to use 2 of these slings at the same time with little to no success. I can't even use just one on the left side because when using the pivot ring to pull the camera back into my body after shooting it just won't slide correctly. It seems that the angle the strap runs near the "lock" makes it tight. I'm guessing I might be doing something wrong here. Can you enlighten me JOBY?  Anyway, and besides that: this strap is awesome.

The strap causes considerable discomfort due to chaffing against my lower neck after about 1 hour. I have tried decreasing the tension, but it does't help. do you have any recommendations?

Asked by: Timc
How about wearing a shirt with a collar rather than a t-shirt? the strap can ride against the collar and not your neck.....

I typically put my backpack on after putting the camera strap around my shoulder so that I can take backpack off without worrying about the camera strap. Will the design of this strap infringe on how easy it is to swing the camera into action?

Asked by: mrto
We have tested this out using several backpacks in the office. Most of the time we were able to still swing the strap well. However if the backpack was really heavy or the straps fell in the wrong place it bound up a bit. We would say there is an 80% chance it will be fine but it really depends on the variable of the backpack & it's weight.

I just received my Sling strap and haven't tried it out yet. Would it be suitable to attach it to the tripod foot of my 500mm lens to distribute the weight?

Asked by: Slippers
Yes attaching it to the tripod mount on the lens would be fine. Just remember to use our tether or some sort of tether and TIGHTEN it down good. Check the connection often as that's a lot of weight and leverage for one connection point. Keep and eye on it and you should be fine.

I have a Samsung camera w350f. The camera does not have a camera strap option so I am searching for one like this that fits into the tripod hole. Will this work for this camera?

Asked by: bjohnson
Yes the Samsung w350f with it's 1/4"-20 standard tripod mount will fit our Ultrafit Strap. You may also take a look at our 3-Way Camera Strap. http://joby.com/camera-straps/3-way-camera-strap

Hi! I'm left-handed and I was wondering if I can use the strap with both shoulders? And would it be uncomfortable to use the strap with a backpack? Thanks!

Asked by: Willitan
Yes it will work for left or right handed people and on both shoulders. With a backpack it depends on the backpack. All backpacks sit differently and have different straps, buckles, etc. Our staff photographer uses the Pro SlingStrap with a LowePro ProTactic backpack everyday.

How would compare and recommend the Ultrafit Sling Strap vs. the Pro Sling Strap?

Asked by: Bdee
Both straps share similar features. The Pro version has a slightly wider and more flexible strap that folds down more compact. The Pro version also includes a tether for added security. Note: The tether can also be purchased as an accessory for the UltraFit Sling Strap.
